Accessing Datasets
Since datasets are available as a separate product, access is provided only for customers who purchase the datasets. Access management is done using Microsoft Entra groups. We will add the customer as an external user to an Entra group with the necessary database access rights. Subsequently, the user’s IP address needs to be whitelisted. Now, the added user will be able to access the datasets using their own Azure credentials. Follow the steps below to acquire access to our datasets:
- Contact our support team through our customer portal or by sending an email.
- We will verify your Microsoft username and then provide you with a link to a shared folder or send you a secure request link from our Document Management System to send us your IP address.
- Your username will be added to the Entra group and your IP address will be whitelisted.
- Now, you will have access to the CloudBilling datasets
We can also provide access to service accounts instead of individual users. However, the process differs to the one mentioned above. Reach out to our support team to configure datasets access for service accounts.
The IP address can be either dynamic or static. A dynamic IP address will change with time. With each change, the new IP address needs to whitelisted again.
