Customer Clusters

A Customer Cluster in CloudBilling is defined as a group of Customers with a common denominator that is often related to the business logic of the CloudBilling user. Customer clustering can, for example, be based on a geographical customer location, the industry they are part of, or the reseller sales channel that they are in.

Pricing Rules are associated to Customer Clusters (and a Product Cluster), this means that it is possible to define a unique pricing plan for specific Customer Clusters. A common use for this is to cater for different VAT rules per country. Creating Customer Clusters that take geography into account allows you to easily account for this and other region-specific differences.

It is possible to link multiple customers to a single Customer Cluster. It is also possible to create a Customer Cluster for a single customer if, for instance, you have made different agreements regarding pricing for this particular customer.
